Could be. This might be a stupid thought, but maybe she wanted a pair of shoes that wouldn't rub against the back of her foot. I hate dress shoes that do that. It can be very painful. But ... perhaps I'm the only gal who's ever had this problem! lol

Why do they always say she is tiny every time they see her for the first time?? . She is not tiny! She is average height, maybe a little bit on the shorter side, but not tiny.

God, that IS ridiculous. I'm surprised no one had a seizure. I'd at least have had a massive migraine. I don't envy Jodie one bit. I wouldn't want to have to stand there and have people yell at me like absolute idiots and have a million flashes blowing up in my face at once. Wow. Something about that just feels very, very wrong. The film festival should have had Jodie and her co-star inside of a place where flash photography wouldn't have been necessary (or not used so much).

Ah, I didn't know that, Mario. Perhaps I should have. That fact, though, makes it all the more ridiculous. I don't share your fear. Take heart: Jodie is much beloved. She has earned so much respect, and I don't doubt that she will be looked upon as one of the greats, one of the legends of the screen. She and Meryl Streep and maybe a handful of other, older actresses are the REAL DEAL and will be talked about forever as people have spoken of Bette Davis and Katharine Hepburn and others. Let the young ones come along and do their thing. Jodie Foster is here to stay.

JF is etched in my heart forever at least. But also I'm sure with a few million others too. Yes, she's part of the elite alumni of cinema now and has earned a permanent place there.

@ Mario: I must have missed that explanation. I might be wrong, but well ... time moves on. I think Jodie Foster will stand the test of time. Will her popularity fade? Perhaps. These new, young actresses steal the limelight. But will she fade into utter obscurity? Not likely. But we can agree to politely disagree with one another. No harm in that. I can't wait to see CARNAGE! And I can't wait for Jodie to start doing a few interviews for this thing.

That clip is awful. All that flashing and screaming. Those people sound mad and dumb. I don't know how Jodie has been able to avoid epilepsy after so many years of flash lights. At about 1.30 there is a point where it looks like she is getting dizzy and she puts her hand near her eyes. No wonder...
