I find it unthinkable that Jodie would choose to work for a convicted RAPIST no matter how good she perceived the work to be. There are some lines that should not be crossed. I will never be a fan of hers again.

If he had been convicted at the time he would of done his time and been out and still making pictures . As far as JF's decsion to work with him I gather it would of been of an artistic nature and ther fact it's a great play JF has a very different mindset compared to us average great unwashed she doesn't live in the past she constantly moves forward and I'm guessing that is what she was looking at the present not the past. Good grief the poor woman got enough shit over having Mel Gibson in her movie ( which was exceptionally good I may add.) The majority of the public dismissed the movie out of hand becuase of Mels Meltdown. What was left out was the fact the movie had been finished and was ready for release just as Mel had his meltdown. So a great movie was over looked because one of its leading characters had a meltdown and the Director in this case JF copped all the flack for it.
Shit if moral judgements were made on almost everyone in Hollywoo nothing would ever happen or get made.
Don't get me wrong I'm not defending Mel or RP but why judge other people for the sins of others

Sorry to be blunt here, mrseda65; but, if you don't want to be a fan of Jodie Foster, why have you joined a fan forum? What you're doing is called "trolling," and I don't think that's cool at all. If you just wanted a place to vent, then okay. However, Jodie Foster cannot be held responsible for the actions of a man that happened decades ago. No matter what happened, Polanski is still a working director, and he's a great one. Do I like Polanski as a person? Heck, no. He's disgusting. But, well, he hasn't been stripped of his DGA card and he's still allowed to make films and hire great actors to play in them. You can't blame Foster for wanting to work with a man of his talent. Now if she publicly condoned his unthinkable act from so long ago, that's when I'd re-think my admiration of her. Just my opinion.

Well, everyone is entitled to their opinion on this topic. I understand those people who are upset with Jodie for working with Polanski. I guess my only point is that she's associating with him in a strictly professional atmosphere. Does that mean she condones his behavior in the personal realm? I don't think so. But it is definitely a tricky subject.

Jodie blew me away in "CONTACT.” That being said: You will note that this was my only post. I only joined in order to make this point in a forum that was appropriate. Good Bye and Good luck. Haha. There's no fighting here, nico. I'm just having a little bit of fun. Mrseda65 is absolutely entitled to his/her opinion, and I respect that. Too bad we've lost a fan, though.

, no fighting? Maybe it's my plain character, but it is really hard for me in general to take somebody seriously who only wants to see his/her opinion and isn't willing to discuss alternative points of views. So I'm sitting here with my popcorn, waiting for mrseda65's next only post

The silly girls here just want you go mad, don't worry. As for my part I was pretty serious with my posts, mind as my opinion, not as a provocation. Except the popcorn, that was fun. Artful!

I was being serious, but I'm also not above just stirring things up for fun. Hey, I was bored. I welcome all opinions.
