MPTF's Jodie Foster Aquatic Center Published on Apr 18, 2012 by MPTVFund It's been called the fountain of youth, a blessing, and a lifesaver. The Jodie Foster Aquatic Pavilion at MPTF's Saban Center is more than just a pool. Inspired by what he saw there, filmmaker Scott Frank volunteered his time to create this short film about the aquatic pavilion, which Jodie Foster presented at Reel Stories, Real Lives, an MPTF fundraiser.

I read that Jodie her mom is living at home and there come people who care.

Do you mean something like hospice, peggy?
My grandfather died from Alzheimer's. He had hospice care right near the end. He died with dignity. We didn't want to put him into a nursing home facility, and we just couldn't give him the care he needed at home. That disease (and all levels of dementia) is just heartbreaking. My gramps had moments of lucidity, but you get fewer and fewer as the disease progresses. Hopefully, one day, a cure will be found for all manner of illnesses like this. It takes a toll on the family, too, trust me.

*hugs zsazsa8* I'm sorry about your grandfather. Yes, god willing, I hope they find a cure soon.

I think I read in Psychologies Magazine from last year that Jodie said her mom is at home.
