I'm a huge fan of anything 'making of' or 'behind the scenes', like finding filming locations. I like the idea of Jodie once has been right at these places. And to see how they have changed since then. Or how America has changed.
Some films like Taxi Driver are well documented while others still wait for a fan to be found. When I started on The Little Girl more than two years ago the only information out there was "filmed in Montreal, Quebec". The details you can find today on IMDB or Wikipedia, they were added by me. I've spent months with Google maps and talking to people several thousands miles away and probably these discoveries would make nice stories itself.
Anyway, I start with some of the TLG locations and will add more from other films successively. It would be interesting to see what you have found. Did you ever search for how and where her films were made?
These links will take you to views of the locations
Opening scene at the beach g.co/maps/u9dex Definitely a nice place on earth. Always liked the idea of Rynn looks for sea shells for her little collection at home.
Beach crossing & footbridge binged.it/HToj8v zoom out a little and you see the beach crossing from the opening scene on the left. Frank Hallet's car is right at the end of the footbridge.
Israels Head binged.it/Jk357l My friend Katie found that. Back then we had no idea other places are so close by.
Cliff scene, Marginal Way binged.it/J280Ex A nice lady who is also a very gifted landscape paintress was of great help here. See her paintings and sketches here bit.ly/IpHl8d
Clips from the movie with the different places.
