Silence is her only film I've seen twice (at its original release). Skinning people, making clothes from it, that was new, inventive, added something even to the sickest cruelty you have seen in a (Hollywood) production, plus the crazy doctor. I didn't realize how disgusting and a slap in the face it must have been for gay/transgender people. We just didn't see it. Maybe I was too young. I'm sure without accidentally reading about the upset and the boycotts in the US later (I'm not gay and gay publications were not as accessible as today) it needed me another five years to notice the subtext. Anyway, I think the reason this wasn't so much an issue for feminists and-or lesbians is that the killer seemed to be a woman hater (and so deserved to be hated). While in reality he hated nothing more than being a male.

Totally love Steven Price' work for Gravity. Original and super atmos fearic, one of the best pieces of sci-fi music since Gil Mellé's strange Andromeda Strain soundtrack. Listen into 20 minutes.. and then there is... Duck and cover!

This is Eva. In 1939 she was twelve years old when her parents sent her from Germany to England, to have her in safety. The following years her parents tried and tried to get visas and tickets to America. But to no avail. Eva wrote them letter after letter. In 1942 her parents were deported to Poland and finally killed in a mass murder. * Never again.

Wow, Mario, I thought nothing escaped you. It is good to know you at least used to be like the rest of us.

My copy of Fangoria arrived today. The interview has nothing new for me (and I told you already about the most stuff) so I'll post this later sometimes.

1, 2, test..is this mic open? So this was the V5 transition of the board. I thought I should make the update before I leave. The design is only provisional. Posts are still here. Sorry you had to register again, my mistake.

Could it be her and Alex are here? www.parisphoto.com/paris I heard rumors and it'd make sense I think. (It's Armani partnered too) Maybe keep an eye on their Twitter twitter.com/ParisPhotoFair Sorry, if totally wrong or if it's old news, I'm not up to date in recent days. Must be great that she can finally share her passion for artsy photographs. The Paris fair would be also a good opportunity to see works of the late Sigmar Polke, a painter but also great photographer who founded the 'Capitalist Realism' movement with Gerhard Richter in early 60s.

Wow so many random thoughts here!...wonder who Hillary is (can't be the THE HILLARY???)....if Jodie was/is friends with Melanie Mayron wouldn't that have made for an awkward situation when she was seeing Melanie's ex Cindy Mort???....wonder when the date was for this....and would love to know how a handwriting expert would analyze her writing!!!!
Mario this is just another example of why I wish you would reconsider leaving this board. Your contributions are absolutely amazing!

In former times I did all of this, background searches, finding strange connections, to read out something from little snippets. I've lost a lot of that enthusiasm over the years. Due to certain experiences with people, their reaction and feedback (or more often: the lack of it) and never finding someone who shares my interests or at least contributes interesting JF stuff frequently. But I don't want to blame it on the audience only, wouldn't be fair. I goofed so many things for worthless reasons.
